And so her holidays finished

Can't say it was boring. I had no time to even think some days.

The birthday weekend was epically stressful, and I hurt someone close to me.
I did learn to love Cards against Humanity.
Did a cruise which was amazing and possibly David's Best holiday surprise ever,
Got a house mate.
The dog was trained much better.
My house got turned upside down.
Saw my brother for the first time in many years and he gave me a sofa.
Did my SCUBA open water certification.

All topped off by my mother getting a discount on my bras, getting my dresses out of layby, and having an awesome lamb shank for dinner.
Some downs some ups and I feel refreshed and readyn for work.. at least for a few days.

Kel and Me on Elegant night

Kel and Alan

Mother's day

Kel and Alan

The night before, I had started to feel iffy but by the am I was so sick I couldn't move or get up for my dawn walk or do anything. David got up and went for breakfast with Kel and Alan and returned with a baggy filled with tablets.
Kel had supplied him with Advil, codral, and some vitamins. I would so grateful. I went from wanting to die to being able to get dressed and sit with some food.
Thank god for good friends who are acutally prepared.

I wanted a nasal spray for sleep, I can't sleep with a blocked nose. Ever. So, against my better judgement, I went ashore. I had the idea of finding a pharmacy and then heading back to bed. Of course too many distractioms occured and so it was ages before we found a pharmacy. Even had the traditional Yvonne screaming match when my codral ran out and we still had not found my medical care, Bah.

After I found a pharmacy and a lovely lady helped me, I was happy to follow David around the town but of course, now the weather had turned making David grumpy. As we couldn't make the city wi-fi work for us.... we headed to Macdonalds for their free wi-fi.  This took us past the marina and the car park markets. I evcen got a browse around but as I had no cash and nothing was really different to the islands, we moved on fairly quickly.

Next to Maccas was a US memorial. The ppl of Noumea thanking the USA for their support in WW2. Lovely memorial.

The internet had a password and when we got it from the manager, we logged on, only for it not to work either. BOOOOOOOOO Giving up completely we returned to the ship and had a wonderful evening at the Serenity deck, stuffing our faces and watching the sun set. Magic.

Onwards to Sydney!!!!

Lunch with the Ex

Never easy. Esp as he makes no bones about still being interested.

Lovely seafood lunch by the harbour in Wollongong. As timing would have it, sawe Heath's truck on the up whilst we headed down. Wouldn't read about it. HA.

A wonderful lunch but the pressure on me to capitulate was high and I ended up with a stress headache.

I was dropped off and all in all I had a great time. We do have a lot in common, but damn the pressure.

Isle of Pines

The morning was stunning and today was our last small Island. Another tender stop, this was a snorkelling location for Kel and I.,
We got the earliest tender we could and headed for land. I stepped off the boat into shops and INTERNET!!!!!!
I bought the cutest skirt and crop top and used the net to talk to Heath, Yay Yay.

Me and my gal. XOXO
Shopping!!! Should I?????

The 4 of us wandered up the road. In the mean time David had gotten so bored that he had set up camp.

We headed for snorkelling and Al stayed on the beach.

Going snorkelling

We wandered up the beach after snorkelling and came across a resort with a restaurant. Kel had the misfortune of encountering the rudest woman ever but the rest of the staff were lovely. Coffee and tea by the sea with a kitty.

Wandering back to the boat for our evening routine,
I started to feel a sniffle at dinner.. hmmmmm trust me to get sick on a holidayl BOOOOOO

Mare Island

Mare was the next day, but,,... I was less than excited. The cruise director kept saying the island only had one feature and it cost $20 pp to go to the beach across the other side of the island. Pft. Seriously. Why go to an island with nothing to do? I think they don't try hard enough.
I hung around with Kel at thwe markets until they got the bus to the beach. David and I crawled the breakwaters and found crabs, mubskippers and even saw a shark/dolphin ( dunno it was a fin) and a turtle popped up. Alas I did not have the long lens on. BOOOOOOOO

After we were noticed by some local teens, we fled to the town.
The boat literature stated that the Aquarium Naturelle was 1.2miles from the town. So we headed off to see what was there. We walked for almost an hour and kept asking the people heading back the otherway if it was ahead. Most had given up. Eventually it was around 4km. That's no where near 1.2 miles carnival.
We made it. I had blisters and was in a lot of pain,

I had forgotten my go pro. Otherwise I would have dived in, in just my undies, There were clams to see!!

The walk back to the wharf caused my shoes to fill with blood. I was limping and quite miserable but the scenery was beautiful and had I expected an 8km round trip I would have worn my walking shoes. BOOOOOOO

The afternoon was again wonderfully quiet and I did manage to get some reading done for my PADI exam.
Dinner with Kel and Alan, us four had developed a rather lovely routine and I was quite content.,  We sat and nattered in darkened Serenity lounge before I headed for bed and David went for a spa.

This is the way to travel.
